GUEST SERVICES AGENT –  Part Time Casual + Part Time Permanent (20 hours/week)

Nustadia Recreation is a recreation facility that provides clean, safe multi-purpose spaces for a variety of leisure, recreational programs. We offer events and sporting activities that enhance the quality of life for people of Alberta.

Primary Accountabilities Include:

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager the Guest Services Agent is responsible for providing direct customer service as well as answering phones, registrations and bookings for the facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Positive friendly demeanor

  • Providing reception and customer service with clients in person and on the phone and email

  • Receiving payments, balancing daily receipts

  • Registering for programs, booking parties and meetings etc.

  • Ensuring information is accurate for daily bookings and set up etc.

  • Performing general reception duties

  • Computer skills a must ie. Excel, Word

  • Cleaning skills


Requirements:

The Guest Service Agent requires at least two years of related work experience as well as a dynamic customer service and public relations skills base with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are essential. Organization skills a must, good phone manners, Additionally, applicants must have solid experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

Shifts include evenings and weekends, requiring an individual with flexible availability.

Salary: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour

SPORT SERVICES –  Part Time (20-40 hours/week)

Primary Accountabilities Include:

This position is responsible for the setup and take down of equipment required for a variety of functions and events such as business meetings Large Public and Private events, such as birthday Parties and tournaments. This position monitors the use of the rooms and assists in the customers in their requests and helps to manage the incoming and out going of our guests. This position will work with guest services and help meet scheduled events needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and take down of tables and chairs, and other preparation for small and large – scale events and meetings.

  • Equipment and playing service set up for athletic events.

  • Assist facility in managing the traffic flow of people arriving and departing various events.

  • Provide superior customer service by addressing customer concerns and questions in a professional and safe manner.

  • Monitor facility areas and activities to ensure a safe environment is maintained at the close of events.

  • Provide a wide variety of custodial duties and light maintenance duties as required, ensuring clean, safe and well-maintained facilities for the users.


Requirements:

  • Current First Aid – Level C CPR and AED certifications are required or be able to obtain certification.

  • CSA approved footwear is required.

  • Previous experience in working in a customer service-related position is considered an asset.

  • WHMIS, safe lifting training and time management training would be considered an asset.

  • RCMP clearance required (vulnerable section )

Summer Day Camp Leader - Seasonal (July/August) (20-40 hrs/week)

Cavalry FC Regional Fieldhouse is a recreation facility that provides clean, safe multi-purpose spaces for a variety of leisure, recreation, programs, events, and sporting activities that enhance the quality of life for residents in and around the Foothills Area. We are searching for another team member who will help us get to the next Level. 

​

Primary Accountabilities Include: This position is responsible for working with the summer day camp team to lead and supervise engaging and active programs in a safe and healthy environment for children ages 3-12. This position reports to the Summer Day Camp Supervisor 

 

Specifically:

  • Participate in training session held late June in preparation for summer programs

  • Demonstrate and role model positive behavior when working with other staff, campers and team members

  • Greet parents and children on arrival and departure from day camp. Providing extra assistance as required

  • Plan and implement all aspects of the daily schedule within the provided lesson plan and encourage camper participation

  • Participate in the planning, organizing and implementation of games, sports and activities 

Requirements:

  • Experience and enjoyment working with children

  • Preferred post secondary training in Education, Recreation or a related field

  • Minimum age is 16 years

  • Experience in a sports or recreation environment an asset

  • Police Check required for those 18+ years

  • First Aid Certification an asset 

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Must be able to adapt well in a fast paced, challenging environment with multiple and changing priorities

  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned daily tasks and priorities

  • Demonstration of excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrated initiative and high work standard

  • Willing to participate and perform a broad range of duties 


Additional Information:

You will be required the to work a flexible shift schedule (between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm). Monthly schedules will be set based on your availability and operational needs.
